OH MY GOSH Elena is talking wait my turn but remember it's about me all me okay ain't nobody gonna interrupt me -Terra Jole. Terra's whining voice is the worst! 😭. I cried my eyes out watching this scene. and when he told her hes marrying her sister I CRIEDDDDD like i hated amy. Watch closely how Florence Pugh breaks your heart in this scene. The immediacy and poignancy of her declaration that she's not marrying Fred absolutely broke my heart. And you have to remember that Beth just passed. Which gives the whole matter another layer of gravitas. Only for Laurie to realize how Amy is the One. And that resounding kiss. Just gives me chills watching the whole scene unfold once more.

I lobe that Todd called Matt out on saying Christy was sick. Like ok sir stand up for your wife WE LOVE THAT ENERGY. The ‘and Ill watch was the most powerful line of the entire movie. When terra starts crying I just start laughing 😂. Honestly when they get on tonya about what she said about brianna & having an average size kid the girls need to stop acting so extra 🤦🏽‍♀️ she was talking about BRIANNA only not anyone else. I adore the way he just keeps saying I love you, Jo while she's talking. This is really the best proposal scene out of all the Little Women adaptations in my opinion. For some reason, Amy and Laurie together give me this weird, beautiful vibe. Although I know Jo and Laurie are meant to be, Amy and Laurie are something totally different. Its like the characters have known each other for ages, but still seem to give off a feeling that feels new. Its a deep friendship, and its why Amy and Laurie look like they feel so comfortable towards each other.

Its so funny how Terra is fake crying xD She always makes the screeching noise while trying to cry. Does she know how lucky she is. Bring on the couple retreats. People angry at Amy clearly didn't read the book lol. My parents read Little Women to me when I was a child (I found it boring but have no memory beyond that) and I've seen three adaptations that I didn't care for, so I only watched this one because my girlfriend wanted to.
But much to my surprise, this was much better than what I recall of the rest.
In my head, Little Women is the story of one interesting character, Jo, and a set of frilly girls who left no impression. But instead of offering one tomboy and a bunch of girly-girls, director Gerwig offers a rambunctious tribe. There is a physicality to all the girls I only remember Jo having, and while this makes Jo stand out a little less, it gives the story a lot more drive.
And while I've felt Little Women always pushed a "real writers don't write pirate stories" moral that I find objectionable, this version has a more nuanced view that is more about the reasons a writer might organically change genres.
While the non-linear story sometimes had me confused, and while Soirse Ronan's Jo isn't as compelling as Katherine Hepburn's overall this is easily the best version of Little Women. Definitely worth watching (although I am torn between giving it a 7 and an 8.

‘Beth was the best of us. My heart broke. The host is extremely bias, its uncomfortable to watch. This film is so impressive and touching with great acting. The novel of this film is one of my favorite, and I really like detector Greta's touching film of women. This scene is extraordinary. You'll actually feel for Amy here. Amy is actually likeable. Like I only realised it after reading the book for the second time and I was more mature to understand where she's coming from. At first she's this annoying little brat, so ambitious and selfish, but she's a loving character. It is hard to be under Jo's shadow, as a daughter, as a sister and as an artist,a s well. Jo is such a strong character who is so much like Amy, and Amy developed this kind of attitude and character, unknowingly, I suppose, so she can have her place in the world.
